Ledger Secures Discord Server Following Phishing Attack on Moderator
Hardware wallet provider Ledger has regained control of its Discord server after a phishing attack compromised a community moderator’s account on May 11. The attacker used the hijacked account to deploy a bot distributing fraudulent links, falsely warning users of a data vulnerability.
The scam message urged victims to verify their 24-word recovery phrases on a spoofed Ledger website. No legitimate user funds were compromised, but the incident highlights persistent social engineering risks in crypto security.
